The computer will be packed tomorrow, so I'm bidding farewell to Germany a few days early.

4th of July

Not a traditional holiday for us this year, but we had a good time at the Ehrenberg castle in Austria.

Electric Trains

Another rainy day here...so we took out the Thomas electric train set. Remy is over his Thomas obsession, but he does still play with his trains from time to time. He has been asking to put the electric set together, and Dad gave in today.

Remy

Our Remy Louis...still quite a character. He has matured a great deal and is usually a very sweet boy. Remy always says, "Good morning, mom." He likes a goodnight kiss and hug. When I pick him up from school, he always says that he missed me. He thanks his friends for playing with him. Then, there's the boy with the temper who says "I'm not anyone's friend!" as he slams his door. The little boy who hits and most recently pinches his big brother. The Remy who knocks over his baby sister (although he usually likes to tell everyone that Sophie is his baby and she's so cute.) We love our Remy and know his sweet side will eventually win.

Alexander

   Look how much our boy has grown! No trace of baby anymore. He has matured alot this past year...learning to ride his bike and playing outside with the other kids on post. His reading is coming along nicely...he did very well this year in Kindergarten. His teacher had nothing but wonderful comments about Alex being well-liked by his classmates and always working hard. She also noticed that he's developing quite a sense of humor. Alex is looking forward to the upcoming move (and visit to Louisiana). He still wants Mama to tuck him in at night...hope he doesn't outgrow this too soon.
