This picture is from earlier this month when Sophie really mastered bubble blowing, and I love it!

The Fish Whisperer..

I love this shot of Sophie talking to the pet goldfish.  She wasn't really whispering...more like talking loudly.  Notice the fish stayed at the bottom of the bowl.  It was probably pretty scared...poor little fishy!

I've seen many photographers show their edited images side-by-side with the straight out of camera (SOOC) shots on websites and blogs.  While I am new to photography (and still have A LOT to learn with editing), I wanted to show this one example...big difference!  Notice the trash can next to the tree is gone too  :)

I recently found The Trendy Treehouse...what a great website.  

They host a weekly photo challenge, and today's theme is "smiles." 

 Here's Sophie (again) with an eyes-closed, about-to-laugh smile...the best kind! 

 And those dimples...love 'em!

Goldfish

"Hi, Fish."

We got these goldfish (there are actually 4 in that bowl) at the Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society.  Remy and Alex "won" them, and poor Remy wants a pet so badly that I couldn't say no.  Sophie likes them too, of course!  Now what to do with them on the extended Summer trip???
