New York, New York
We took the kids to the Top of the Rock and Rockefeller Plaza yesterday. They had a great time. The day went pretty smoothly except for being told that feeding the pigeons carried a $500 fine (SEE THE PRETZEL IN REMY'S HAND!?) We told him to stop, but he likes to keep things "interesting."

My 1st Grader and Pre Kindergartener
The boys have started school. Alex's first day of 1st grade was yesterday. I'm proud of him for handling everything so well. He is in a new school of course and doesn't know any kids, but he is very mature about it. All of the kids were talking and playing with their friends as we waited for the doors to open. He turned to me and said, "I'm shy." My sweet boy...I'm sure he'll make friends soon.
Remy, on the other hand, was ready to go. He was the first in line and seemed to be very excited. There are only 9 children in his class (only 3 boys). They come out holding hands at dismissal...it was so cute. He is not a morning person however, and I'm hoping that he does not start giving me trouble once the novelty wears off.
